Engagement Goals

Brookwood was hired to explore strategic alternatives for the company.  The founders wanted to sell the company but retain the three units located in Santa Barbara, CA.

Engagement Process and Outcomes

Brookwood Process - Brookwood contacted both strategic buyers and private equity groups that had significant previous restaurant operating experience.

Excellent Results - Brookwood successfully sold the company to KarpReilly LLC, a private equity buyer, at the highest multiple of trailing EBITDA achieved in the industry.  Brookwood negotiated a favorable deal structure that allowed the founders to retain the three units in Santa Barbara.
