Prior to founding Brookwood Associates’ Charlotte office in 1996, Mr. Temple was an officer of Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co. ("BHC"), where he advised clients on selling their middle-market companies. Prior to joining BHC, Mr. Temple worked in Bear Stearns & Co.’s investment banking group for seven years and was a strategy consultant at Bain & Co. for two years.

Mr. Temple has more than 20 years of experience in advising senior management teams, boards of directors and business owners regarding a variety of exclusive sale, divestiture, acquisition, recapitalization and financing transactions. His industry expertise includes: business services, distribution, industrial manufacturing as well as analytical instruments and supplies, consumer products and plastics.

Mr. Temple earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School with second year honors. He has served on several boards of directors of both for profit and non-profit entities.

Mr. Temple lives in Charlotte with his wife and three sons, where he enjoys involvement with his children’s school and sports activities, and his church. He currently serves on the Board of Thompson Child & Family Focus and the YMCA’s Camp Harrison.
