Prior to joining Brookwood Associates in 1999, Mr. Bryan was an investment banker for 11 years at Banc of America Securities ("BAS") and its predecessors in Charlotte and New York. As a Director in BAS' Healthcare group, he focused on mergers, acquisitions and equity financings for a broad range of healthcare services and specialty medical distribution companies. Prior to joining BAS' Healthcare group, Mr. Bryan was a member of BAS' Mergers and Acquisitions group, where he advised clients on a variety of strategic and financial transactions including sale assignments and corporate divestitures, acquisitions, management-led buyouts, and debt and equity financings. In addition to the healthcare sector, Mr. Bryan's industry and client experience includes work in the manufacturing, commercial foodservice equipment, business and environmental services, and distribution sectors. Prior to joining BAS, Mr. Bryan worked in the capital markets and investment banking groups of Lehman Brothers and Prudential Securities in New York.

Mr. Bryan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University, and a Master of Business Administration degree from The Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. 

Mr. Bryan serves as a board member of The Oak Value Fund, a mutual fund based in Durham, NC and is a trustee of The Mary Duke Biddle Foundation. He lives in Charlotte with his wife and two children.
