Engagement Process and Outcomes
The Challenge – Brookwood was hired in August 2001 to act as sales agent in a Section 363 sale. In this role, Brookwood needed to act quickly and efficiently to preserve the Companies’ customers in the face of deteriorating conditions.
The Solution – Brookwood rapidly completed due diligence, prepared a confidential information memorandum and identified buyers. In four weeks, Brookwood contacted 150 buyers and enhanced the potential buyers’ understanding of the inherent value and opportunity.
Excellent Result – The transaction ultimately resulted in a private sale to certain creditors. The subsequent outcome for secured and unsecured creditors exceeded the shareholders’ expectations.
