Recruiting for our Analyst Program

  • Candidate must possess outstanding quantitative, verbal and analytical skills and demonstrate strong undergraduate academic and leadership performance. Undergraduate concentration in accounting, economics, finance or related field is preferred but not required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
  • Primary analyst responsibilities include:
    • Targeted company and industry research
    • Financial modeling and valuation analyses
    • Writing descriptive memoranda
    • Prospective investor and buyer research
    • Preparation of presentation materials for various meeting activities
    • Assistance with prospective buyer due diligence
  • Program lasts a minimum of two years with the opportunity for promotion within the firm.

Job Descriptions

Analyst
Brookwood Analysts are active participants in every phase of the deal process and have significant interaction with the firm’s senior level bankers, executive management teams of its middle-market clients, and senior professionals from corporate and private equity buyer groups.

Primary Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Performing targeted company and industry research
  • Preparing complex financial models and valuation analyses
  • Drafting comprehensive descriptive memorandums
  • Researching prospective investor and buyer information
  • Preparing presentation materials for various meeting activities
  • Assisting with prospective buyer due diligence

Qualified Analyst candidates should possess:

  • Outstanding quantitative, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Strong undergraduate academic and leadership performance
  • The ability to perform in a fast-paced, rigorous work environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • An undergraduate degree from a leading academic institution (business, finance, accounting, or economics is preferred, but not required).


Associate
The Brookwood Associate position offers a rewarding career opportunity for motivated and mature individuals seeking to join a cohesive team at a highly successful M&A investment banking firm. The Associate position affords substantial responsibility in a team-based, entrepreneurial environment.

Primary Associate responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing and refining complex valuation analysis
  • Managing initial due diligence on client companies
  • Preparing descriptive memoranda and management presentations
  • Contacting and working with prospective buyers or investors
  • Prospecting and developing new business relationships
  • Networking with c-suite executives and established private equity contacts
  • Assisting throughout the closing process and helping negotiate key terms and agreements

Qualified Associate candidates should possess:

  • Ability to write detailed confidential selling memoranda, create detailed financial models, train, mentor, and oversee Analysts, conduct research, and perform valuation analyses
  • A strong academic record from a leading undergraduate program
  • Demonstrated understanding of new business development goals and the ability to design and prepare drafts of pitch presentations
  • Strong verbal communication, analytical, team, and client skills

Preferably, Associate candidates would also possess:

  • Two-to-five years of significant transaction experience in the investment banking industry, either in Analyst or Associate roles
  • MBA education from a leading academic institution
